Overview:

Texas de Brazil is a Brazilian steakhouse or churrascaria. It offers medium to high-end cuts of meats cooked over a flame and then brought tableside by carvers who give you the freshest cut of meat possible. In addition to the meat, Texas de Brazil offers an extensive salad bar with charcuterie, soup, sides, and more. There is also a full-service bar, additional complementary side dishes, and desserts.

The Food:

Texas de Brazil has a large selection of food to eat when you choose to do their all-you-can-eat dining experience. This includes a large salad bar with different vegetarian options. However, the main event is the sizzling meat which is brought to you tableside. During your entire meal, there are servers walking around with large skewers of meat ready to serve you. Just simply flip the card they give you over to green and they will begin offering meat to you. This includes Brazilian sausage, chicken, pork, sirloin, flank steak, filet, and lamb. You can eat as much as you want, and when you are done or want to take a break, flip your card over to red. My favorite cuts of meat were the picanha, lamb chops, and bacon-wrapped filet mignon. Both pieces were cooked medium rare, juicy, and full of flavor. 

Service:

For my meal, I was seated and waited on by Sean. He took care of everything we needed during our time here. Sean brought out side dishes to go along with the meal and constantly refilled our water. During the meal I asked Sean if we could have lamb chops brought to our table, as we had not seen any of the servers have it. However, after asking Sean a server came by with a freshly made rack of lamb chops which were still sizzling from the flame. The lamb chops were easily the best thing I had there for dinner.

Atmosphere:

The inside of Texas de Brazil is stunning! We arrived at 5:00 PM when they open for dinner service. Everything was clean and shiny, including the well-presented salad bar. There is also a full bar in the back of the restaurant which offers cocktails during your meal. The overall feeling inside is also kept lively by the friendly servers who bring around fresh cuts of meat!

Texas de Brazil is a special place in Pittsburgh to get amazing cuts of meat, a great salad bar, and experience wonderful service. My waiter Sean really went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. It is service like this combined with amazing fresh food that gives Texas de Brazil the great reputation it has! This is a perfect restaurant to come to for any special occasion and they offer a discounted lunch service on Fridays from 12PM-3PM if you do not want to pay the normal dinner price. Additionally, you can get Texas de Brazil gift cards at Sams Club to save money when you visit!
