Pizza Palermo

Pizza Palermo

Overview:

Pizza Palermo is a chain of Pizza restaurants located in Pittsburgh PA. The menu is standard for any pizza place with pies, hoagies, breadsticks, and salads. We visited the Shadyside location in the city on Centre Ave. Also we placed the order on Uber Eats because they were running a buy one get one free pizza, salad, and breadsticks.

The Food:

Pizza Palermo had good food overall. The salad was a little small and just normal iceberg lettuce so nothing to rave about. The pizza was also more doughy so if you enjoy this over well done pizza then you should enjoy it. The cheese was good and so was the sauce but it was not a fantastic pizza that I would order again. My favorite item was the breadsticks which had Parmesan cheese brushed on top with butter. They came out hot and we had a couple in the car on the way home to eat.

Service:

The service we had was ok. It took them a few more minutes to finish our order when we arrived to pick it up. However since it was takeout we did not interact with the staff much when we arrived.

Atmosphere:

The inside of Pizza Palermo was very basic. You can sit at one of the tables to eat but most people order takeout. The decor is plain and basic not much theming or standout items on the wall.

Rating: Average |⭐⭐⭐✩✩|

Pizza Palermo is an ok choice if you are in Pittsburgh getting pizza. I did not like how the pizza was doughy and the salad was just iceberg lettuce. The breadsticks were good but not enough to make up for the rest of the food. While the meal itself was decent, there are many other pizza places in Pittsburgh to order from that are better.
