Federal Galley
Overview:
Federal Galley is a food hall on the North Side of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania. It has four concept kitchen restaurants that offer a variety of food. This includes chicken sandwiches, pizza, poke bowls, burgers, and beer. At Federal Galley, you can only place orders at the counter of each restaurant or online using QR codes at each table.

The Food:
Federal Galley has a unique variety of food offerings. With four concept kitchens, there are enough options for everyone in your party to find something they like. During my latest visit, I ordered the Nobu chicken sandwich, waffle fries, white pizza, and prosciutto & arugula salad. The chicken sandwich was crunchy on the outside and tender on the inside. It was topped with spicy mayo, eel sauce, and scallions. The white pizza was Detroit-style and had a thick crunchy crust with great toppings like ricotta cheese, spinach, and tomatoes. The french fries were crispy and golden fried. I thought the prosciutto & arugula salad was also good, but it did not have enough acid to balance out the oil.
Service:
I thought the service at Federal Galley was good. There is not much interaction with the staff here. They only come to your table to bring your food or clear plates. The silverware, and glass bottles of water are found on a cart inside the restaurant which you have to grab and set up yourself.
Atmosphere:
The overall atmosphere at Federal Galley is nice. It has a modern rustic feeling to it, while also being spacious and inviting. There is seating inside as well as plenty of outdoor tables.
Rating: Good |⭐⭐⭐⭐✩|
Federal Galley is a great restaurant to visit in Pittsburgh's North Side neighborhood. It is close to the Children's Museum, Pittsburgh Aviary, PNC Park, and Acrisure Stadium. So if you are in the area for an event and want something different to eat, this is a perfect place. The food at all four concept restaurants is top-notch. The only reason I give it four stars is due to the cafeteria style of the place. You do have to get your own silverware and water along with the staff only coming by to take things away and not taking drink or food orders.
