The Food:
At Ichiban, I had the hibachi dining experience. This includes clear soup, ginger salad, fried vegetables, noodles, fried rice, and your protein of choice. The protein options include chicken, steak, shrimp, fish (red snapper), salmon, NY strip, and lobster. I had the red snapper fish dinner which was fantastic. It was cooked to perfection in a teriyaki glaze sauce and combined with the other sides, made for a delicious and filling dinner. You also get ginger and yum sauce with your meal. They will also give you two pieces of shrimp if you go for dinner.
Service:
The service at Ichiban is truly special. The wait staff is nice and is responsible for bringing out the soup, salad, and drink orders. However, the real star of the show is the hibachi chef that prepares all of your food. They perform tricks with an egg, build an onion volcano, set the hibachi on fire, and make all of your food right in front of you! All of their hibachi chefs are talented and eager to entertain their guests!
Atmosphere:
The inside of Ichiban Steakhouse is colored red and black with a subtle Japanese design throughout. The doorways to certain rooms are wooden and the design in the dining room is also Japanese-themed. The main room at Ichiban is the hibachi room. There are about 8 tables where 8 people can sit at each one. If you have a party of less than 8, they will most likely seat another party with you to fill the seats.
Rating: Excellent: |⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐|
Ichiban Steakhouse is a great place for you to take your family or group of friends to celebrate a special occasion. With room for up to 8 people per table, Ichiban offers a great interactive dining experience for large or small parties. The value of what you get at Ichiban is not matched by most restaurants as you get a dining show and large portions of food. If you are not up for hibachi they also offer regular dining and takeout. All said, I would recommend trying Ichiban for their unique Japanese cooking experience.
