Primanti Bros (McIntyre Square)

Primanti Bros (McIntyre Square)

Overview:

Primanti Bros has opened a new location in McIntyre Square right off McKnight Rd. Primanti's is a classic Pittsburgh restaurant and bar chain that has operated since 1933 during the Great Depression. They offer classic Primanti sandwiches, appetizers, wings, pizza, and more!

Crazy Big Bavarian Pretzel

Pastrami & Cheese Sandwich

The Food:

Primanti Bros is known for their "almost famous sandwiches". These include meat with cheese, fries, coleslaw, and tomatoes on Italian bread. I got the pastrami and cheese sandwich. It came out hot and fresh shortly after ordering. The portion size was big and everything tasted great! For an appetizer, we got the Bavarian pretzel. It was buttered with salt and came with cheese and honey mustard. It was good but the cheese just tasted like generic concession stand cheese.

Service:

Our waiter at Primanti's was great and checked in on us frequently during our meal. There seemed to be many workers walking around inside during our visit since it was a new location. I was pleased with how quick our food came out and it was fresh.

Atmosphere:

I thought the inside of this Primanti Bros location was exceptionally decorated. There are many pictures and art on the wall, including sports banners. There is a second floor at this location which allows for extra seating during busy hours. The bar in the middle is also big and there are many TVs so you can watch the Steelers game or whatever game they have on!

Rating: Good |⭐⭐⭐⭐✩|

Primanti Bros in McIntyre Square is a great addition to the north hills. It is a great spot to grab a good sandwich, beer, and catch the game. Everyone I talked with inside was friendly and greeting. If you want to try a great Pittsburgh staple, Primanti Bros is the place to go!
