Teachana
Overview:
Teachana is a ramen and boba tea shop located in the Novo Asian Food Hall in the Strip District. They have an extensive list of boba, fruit, milk tea, and authentic Japanese ramen. Teachana is available for dine-in, takeout, and delivery through Uber Eats and Postmates.
The Food:
Teachana has a small menu, but the coupleof items we tried were really good. To start, we got two tea drinks, the brown sugar and strawberry milk teas with boba. The flavor of both drinks was sweet but not overpowering and had the right amount of boba.

Spicy Miso Tonkotsu Ramen |
For entrees, we ordered the spicy miso tonkotsu ramen. It came with corn, bean sprouts, scallions, chashu pork, seasoned egg, and nori (toasted seaweed sheets). This was honestly the best ramen I have tried in Pittsburgh. The best part of the ramen is the rich and spicy broth, but all the other ingredients are great. I like how they charred the pork, and they give you 4-5 pieces in the soup.
Service:
The ordering experience at Teachana and Novo Food Hall as a whole is different than most restaurants. Once you order, they give you a buzzer and you have to wait for the food to be ready. Then you get the food and sit wherever in the food hall.
Atmosphere:
Teachana and Novo Food Hall’s atmosphere is really nice. Everything is open, and all the restaurants feel connected. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. They are also dog-friendly in the outside part along the sidewalk and inside the connector tunnel.
Rating: Excellent |⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐|
Teachana has the best ramen in my opinion, even slightly better than the already great Kyuramen. The broth was amazing, and the toppings were savory, making a complete dish. For $20, you can also get a ramen bowl and a milk tea drink, which is a great combo. If you are in the Terminal in the Strip District, try out Teachana in the Novo Asian Food Hall.
