Allusion Brewing
Overview:
Allusion Brewing Company is a local brewery situated in the Duncan Manor strip mall in McCandless, PA. This is the second location, with the first being in Vandergrift, PA. Allusion Brewing is best known for the decent-sized beer tap they have. Most of the beers are lighter, but they also have some sours and IPAs. If you are hungry, there is also a kitchen that has mainly bar food.
The Drinks:
For our visit to Allusion Brewing, we only had beers. The first one I tried was the one called "One Inning More". It is an American Pale Ale that has malts and hops, so it tastes similar to an IPA. However, this was a little more balanced than an IPA, which is stronger on the hops.
The second beer was the "Tallahassee's Quest". This wa a blonde ale and I thought it was the best. It had a sweet vanilla taste, but also crisp at the end.
My final beer I tasted here was the "Intrinsic Field" sour beer. It was very sour and tasted like raspberry or blueberry. It was a distinct green color and came with a blue sour patch kid on top.

Service:
The bartenders at Allusion Brewing were all nice and friendly. It was our first time here and they gave us time to look at the draft list before we ordered a drink without rushing us. To get another drink you need to go back up to the bar as there are no waitstaff to take orders.
Atmosphere:
The inside of Allusion Brewing is very cozy and is the perfect decor for a local neighborhood bar. When you first walk in, there is a large bar to the left with TVs and barstools. In the center are tables, and on the right are lounge chairs and couches to sit, relax, and enjoy your drink. They have artwork from local artists on the wall for sale, and in the back is a free community bookshelf. In general, it is also not too loud inside, and I would consider it a quieter bar.
