Late Addition Brewing

Late Addition Brewing

Overview:

Late Addition Brewing is a cool spot on Western Ave in the Northside of Pittsburgh. They brew up a small list of beers but all the ones I tried here were great. Late Addition is open 4-10PM Mon-Fri, noon-10 on Saturday, and noon-6 on Sunday. There is a variety of events that go on here too including trivia, cask ale tapping, plus dungeons and drafts.

The Drinks:

Aam Ki Lassi & Mali’s

Late Addition Brewing has a small tap list of bold and flavorful beers with good variety. We ordered the Aam Ki Lassi, a mango sour. It was not as sweet or sour as I thought and you could definitely taste a wheat flavor. It was well rounded and had a good mango taste.

The second beer we tried was the Malus. This dry cider was a lot stronger and hit you immediately with a sour punch. It had notes of sour fruit sweetness on the backend.

Service:

The bartender at Late Addition was nice. She got us our drinks quick and efficiently. There was only a few other people at the brewery when we went.

Since there was only a couple other people here when we went the place was pretty quiet. I did not mind it and it made for a more leisurely time drinking. The place itself is nice with stained wood on the walls and exposed joists. Out back there is also a small beer garden. Overall a great place to hang out.

Rating: Excellent |⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐|

Late Addition Brewing is a cool place to check out in the Northside if you are looking for a more lowkey place to drink. They have plenty of beers on tap that are really good. It is also close to the Northshore attractions like Acrisure Stadium and PNC Park. The service is nice and the inside looks really cool. If you are looking for other Northside breweries, check out Four Points Brewing, Allegheny City Brewing, or Federal Galley food hall.
