Reno's Deli
Overview:
Reno's Deli is a new sandwich shop that opened up right on Butler Street in Etna. They serve sandwiches, soups, dips, olives, and pantry goods. We decided to try this place out when we were drinking at Costar Brewing. Ordering is done at the counter when you arrive. There is no online ordering or delivery. Unfortunately, there are no tables to eat at there, but you can just take it home or eat at Costar across the street. Below are the hours posted on the deli's Google page.
Monday 10 AM–7 PM
Tuesday 10 AM–7 PM
Wednesday 10 AM–7 PM
Thursday 10 AM–7 PM
Friday 10 AM–7 PM
Saturday 9 AM–5 PM
Sunday 9 AM–1 PM
The Food:
I like the simple menu at Reno's Deli. They have a list of sandwiches you can order. Also, there is a fridge to the left stocked with dips, olives, soups, drinks, and whatever else they keep in the rotation. It is cool, they also have dry goods like pasta, sauce, and Italian wafers available by the windows.
I decided to try the mortadella classico. This came with thin-sliced classic and pistachio mortadella, provolone, hot peppers, fire-roasted tomatoes, pesto, and garlic aioli. The bread was a classic Italian loaf, and it was very soft and gave good support to all the toppings. I loved the flavor of the mortadella with the peppers, aioli, and pesto. The sandwich was crunchy, spicy, and delicious!

We decided to eat at Costar, so we tried a few of the beers and ice cream at the end. I had an ESB and a bock. Both were malty and slightly bitter dark ales, very tasty if you like darker beers. At the end, I had to try one of Leona's ice cream sandwiches. They are lactose-free ice cream sandwiches, and I tried rocky road with marshmallows inside, which was amazing!

Service:
I thought the workers at Reno's Deli were very polite and informative. They asked us if we wanted everything on the sandwiches we ordered and if we wanted them toasted. It did not take long for them to fresh cut the meat and make the sandwiches behind the counter.
Atmosphere:
The inside of Reno's Deli reminds me of an old corner market you would find in the city. They have some shelves by the window with pantry goods, and a cooler for sides. I also liked the retro Coca Cola cooler when you first walk in. Everything was clean and the place smells great when you walk in.

Reno's Deli is a spectacular addition to Etna's main business strip. It provides the community with some groceries and prepared food along with tasty MTO sandwiches. Everyone inside was super friendly and helpful and the food was great. I love that they are close to other businesses on Butler St especially Costar Brewing across the way. You can order a sandwich to go and eat it over there and get a beer! If you are looking for great deli sandwiches or something to snack on while you are in the area, give Reno's Deli a try! Also, if you are looking for fish in Etna, I have tried and reviewed E-Town Bar & Grill which is right down the street.
